URL encoder and decoder (percent encoding)

Encode text so that it is safe inside a web address, or decode a link full of % signs back into readable text.

    How to use it

    1. Paste the text or the link.
    2. Choose Encode or Decode and what the text is.

    What is the difference between a part and a full URL?

    A part is encoded completely, including / ? & and =. A full URL keeps those characters so the link still works.

    How are Greek letters encoded?

    Each Greek letter becomes two bytes in UTF-8, written like %CE%B1.

    Is my text uploaded?

    No. It is converted in your browser.
