Remove accents from Greek text

Remove the accents (tonos) from Greek text, or turn it into capitals the correct way. Useful for search, sorting, file names and databases.

    How to use it

    1. Type or paste your Greek text.
    2. Choose whether to also change the letter case.
    3. Copy the result.

    Questions

    Why are capitals written without accents?

    In standard Greek, capital letters do not carry a tonos. This tool removes it when you choose CAPITALS.

    What about ϊ and ϋ?

    By default the diaeresis is removed too. Tick the option to keep it.

    Does it change other languages?

    Accents on Latin letters are removed as well, since the tool removes all combining marks.
