    Which standard does it use?

    The standard style follows ELOT 743, the Greek standard used on passports and road signs. The chat style is the informal way people type Greek on a phone.

    Is the conversion back to Greek exact?

    Not always. Greeklish has no accents and several letters share one Latin letter, so the Greek result is a good guess that you may need to fix by hand.
